Holiday in Turkey

We want to book a holiday in Turkey but havent been there before. We want a resort with a good choice of bars and restaurants but not rowdy - any suggestions?

We have been to Gumbet twice,its got lots of bars and good nightlife and Bodrum is only a taxi ride away where's there's lots more of the same so it's like having 2 resorts in one.Gumbet is the quietest of the two and has a lovely beach.The restaurants are very good in both resorts and reasonably priced,These resorts are also close to the airports so you have'nt got another 2 or 3 hours on the bus,we will probably be going back again this year.Hope this helps

I have been several places. For what you describe your requirements as, I would avoid Marmaris like the plague, likewise Icmeler.
You should probably look at Fethiye which has a lovely port/marina- you could even take a nice Gulet cruise for the holiday from there, or even for a day or 2. Alternatively Turunc is smallish but with some nice restauraunts and bars. Simply Turkey's brochure might be a good place to look...
