new york breakfast
Can anyone suggest any fantastic places for Breakfast in New York?
We are staying in the Novotel Times Square so anywhere in that vicinity would be perfect.
Thanks for your help :-)
btw I don't like bagels!!

I've been 3 times now and am still as in love with it. The portions are HUGE, if you get a waffle with berries, the pile of berries must be about 3-4 inches high!! Noone ever finishes their portion and you can ask to take it away if you want! Not unusual in the US i believe, due to oversized portions!
It's only 5 blocks from your hotel (on 57th between 5th & 6th)

Its not really close to Times square, but you can catch the subway there and it is well worth it.. The New Yorkers queue up at the weekend to have brunch there!
Its called "Good Enough To Eat" and it is on inttersection of Amsterdam Av and 83rd st.
Website is http://www.goodenoughtoeat.com/ with details of loactions and menus. Cant recommend highly enough. The pancakes with stawberry butter are gorgeous as are there omlettes with crispy bacon, and, well, everything!
Enjoy!

I love Maxies deli. Again not cheap (probably about $15-$20) but the portions are huge and the food is really good. When I went with some friends last year they were trying to do everything on the cheap and we ate at some awful places for breakfast until I put my foot down and insisted that we went there (I'd been before). I think they agreed that it was worth it. You'll find it on the north side of Times Square, go past Virgin and keep on walking, it's only 5 minutes.
