I have a laptop from the U.S. and the charger says "125 v - 7A" on it and I think that means it wont step up/down meaning i will need a converter. However I had a converter the I couldnt plug the ground into and it made alot of buzzing nose, a week later my harddrive crashed. What type of converter do I need and is it possible my harddrive crashed because of the current?
