Well Cap Salou is a suburb of a larger town called Salou.

If you look on the Internet for thing to do in and around Salou then that will give you some ideas.

The nearest major thing to do near Salou is to go to Port Aventure. This is a sort of Disney complex with 3 hotels, a fantastic theme park, and a pretty good water park.

It is right on the edge of Salou and in fact you can walk from Salou centre to Port Aventura (it may be a bit far to walk from Cap Salou)

You can read more here:

It can get busy during the day (like all theme parks) and hot but when I was there it stayed open till midnight and it was really nice to go there from about 6pm till midnight. They have a great firework display at midnight.

The water park is right next door and you can easily spend a day in there, with lazy river, flumes, slides and so on.
Salou is about an hour or so drive from Barcelona. A lot of people in Salou go on coach trips to Barcelona for the day (you can also get the train from Salou to Barcelona).

They do different types of trips, some go to the city and explore that, others go to the zoo, some go to Barcelona football ground for a tour and so on.

There are plenty of leaflets and posters around Salou offering different types of trips to Barcelona.
Here is an aerial photo of the main Salou town (I think the photo is a few years old but it has not changed much)

Cap Salou is in the top right, probably just off the map.

At the front of the picture is a marina. If you go there you can see people offering various types of cruises, such a booze cruises, fishing trips, or sightseeing along the coast.

In the area behind the Marina (in the bottom left) is an area of shops. Some are nice (selling gifts, jewelry etc), others are typical tacky tourist shops. Nice area to stroll around as it is the old town of Salou.

Port Aventura is in the top left, just about where the word SALOU is (although it was not built when this picture was taken).
btw if you search answerbank for Salou you will find quite a few similar questions to yours, and a lot of answers.

Go to the search area at the top, put in Salou, then choose "Site" (not Web) then click Search.

You will get a long list of questions / answers.
