Saudi Arabia - Visas

Does anybody know how to get hold of somebody in the Saudi Arabian embassy?? I am in the process of applying for a business visa for a colleague and I have some queries. I have tried the main number- no answer. No response to web enquiries and emails come back as the mail box is full. It is to late now to go through an agent.

Any help greatfully received!!!!!!!!!!

I went to Saudi Arabia a few years ago on business.

We had to get a local person to write an official letter inviting us, then had to go through an agent who would get the visa for us.

We had to send the invite letter and our passports to the agent to get the visa.

Saudi Arabia dont welcome "visitors" as such so doubt the embassy is going to be very helpful.

I have to say I hated it there, it is like going back in time 50 years and women (and immigrants) are treated like dogs (worse).

Thanks Vhelp! I have all that stuff my problem is that they have started a new system where you need to get a automatically generated Visa number from their website...when I tried it has taken the money but gave me a Russian (seriously!!) error message! My colleague goes next Sunday and I am panicking about getting it all done in time!! The whole thing was arranged last minute so it has been a nightmare! Looking at the websites and rules etc I have no idea why ANYONE would want to go there!
