Are you a UK resident? if so the following criteria will apply: 1. your child is already on your passport 2. is under the age of 16 when you are due to return from the trip 3. your passport will still be valid for the 4 weeks after your return (which I beleive is stnadard to any travelling outside of the UK) If these all apply then yes they can travel on your passport.
It is NOT standard that your passport needs to valid for 4 months after your return when travelling outside the UK. Some countries have such a requirment, but not all. The Foreign & Commonwealth Offfice advises "Your passport should be valid for at least six months on entry into Turkey." http://www.fco.gov.uk/servlet/Front?pagename=OpenMarket%2FXc elerate%2FShowPage&c=Page&cid=1007029390590&a=KCountryAdvice &aid=1013618386532
Sorry, my fingers slipped over the weeks and made them months
