The USA won't have any knowledge of stuff you got up to in the 1990s. About the only question they usually ask at immigration is 'how long are you staying?'
Simple assault - like getting inadvertently into a fight - is not a crime of moral turpitude in the US, so you can legitimately use the visa waiver scheme if this is the case. It's only if you set out intending doing serious harm that there is a problem.
After 15 years you would probably get the visa anyway (possibly after a delay) though there's no guarantee.

there are some accounts by people who have had interviews.
Hope you've allowed plenty of time - doubtful cases can take months to resolve AFTER the interview though normally you know on the date of the interview whether you have been successful or not.

lol i know it sounded harsh, but it is just a holiday. When i was growing up there was no such thing as holidays to disneyland, and i was very very happy with a holiday in a caravan in devon. I have loads of fond memories of spending time with my mum and dad,, it's not a bout the where but the who in my opinion
