Yes, I've just read this somewhere. Sitting near to the wings gives you a better flight turbulance wise and sitting at the front is better for claustophobics and people who suffer with sinus/ear problems due to pressure.
Yes - sit right on top of the wings. The back of the aircraft is the absolute WORSE!
