my two youngest girls moved to france 2 years ago ,their english passports run out at the end of this month but they want to come to stay with me in england for 6weeks .can the girls travel here then have their passports renewed while they are here ready to go back ? please help .....missing my girls !!!!!!!!!!!

OK - passports run out at end of July but they are coming for 6 weeks (you don't say when) Assuming they arrrive sometime during the month of July their passport only has to be valid for entry to the UK. Then they get their passports renewed whilst they are here otherwise they will not be allowed back into France.

Sounds right to me auntibertie, provided all the paperwork and necessary signatures can be done.

I've certainly renewed my passport whilst living overseas..
