How many times in one year can I enter on the visa waiver programme for 90 days? Is there a maximum stay in any one year?

I can't see any reference to this on the US Govt website on the visa waiver program (click here)

But I suspect that if you stayed 90 days, left for a short time, then tried to re-enter again, the Immigration Authorities might not be too pleased.

90 days in US, then you must leave for 90 if you are going to come back in on a tourist visa. Less time if you are coming back in on a work or student visa.
i go back and fro to miami every 2 months and have no problem.some actually wave and say welcome back
