posting to US

I have already posted this in Body & Soul but got no response, can I ask you here pls ?
My pal in Texas needs a tube of Votaren Emulgen cream for her arthric knee, they dont sell it there, can I post it to her or wont the US allow ?
help appreciated.

I wouldn't see that it's a problem, after all plenty of people here get medicines posted to them from the States. But just in case send one tube, if that gets through ok then you could send more next time.

Yes they will.

The help button on a counter clerk's computer terminal will lead him to a page that lists items that it is prohibited to post to the USA.

Medicines are unfortunately among these, though it does say there are some exceptions.

If it's for personal use rather than sale US customs usually turn a blind eye anyway.

I am just going to put Emulgen cream and hope they think its cosmetic.many tks to all for the help.

Jut put 'cosmetics' on the customs label. I've posted loads of things to my sister in the States and never once has a parcel been opened.
