how long to get from paris to versailles

we will be staying near the sation of porte de chameperett in paris. does anyone kno how long the train trip tpo versailled might be? Is it easy enough to do?
we're takinga french phrase book but don't speak the lingo at all!

been having a look at my trusty old map of france as it has a map of paris, but couldnt find any indication of how far for you, the trains in france run pretty much to time and the french speak better english than we can speak french so you should'nt have too much trouble getting yourselves understood, just watch out for pick pockets on the trains/metro within paris. have a good time when you go.

dont know how to link you like terambulan has down, but try googling the paris metro and see if that helps, may also give you an indication of cost.......ps have you got room in a suitcase for me...!!

I went by train from Paris to Versailles 20 years ago. I don't speak any French, so it must have been pretty easy! I think I went from Gard du Nord, but having had a quick google it seems even easier than I remembered
