driving to Austria (Innsbruck)
Does anyone know what it might cost to drive to Innsbruck and the best route to take. I am trying to avoid costly flights during the Feb half term holidays - for our ski holiday with some friends.
I know it depends on the size engine and how fast you drive it! But would not have any clue as to where to start costing it!

From there I would go to Innsbruck via Mannheim and Munich then just east and south (via Raubling and Kufstein) to approach Innsbruck from the east. If in summer I would take a more direct route Munich-Innsbruck which involves a very scenic high pass.
The ViaMichelin website is by far the best online route-planning service for European travel. Their recommended route from Calais to Innsbruck gives the distance as 1069km, with nearly of all of it (959km) on motorways. The journey duration is estimated at 10 hours 3 minutes, with estimated petrol costs totalling 96.62
