Can anyone help me. I am going on holiday, I booked on line with Ryanair I now realise I have not booked enough luggage allowance. How can I increase this allowance. If I wait until check in I will have to pay more.

Simple answer yes !!

I flew to Dublin last year to see Aerosmith -they were c@p BTW- and travelled with my son and his mate and we had to fork out for the outgoing AND return journies because we simply didnt read the small print twhen we were booking -aaarrgghh !!! Lesson learnt.
you can add more allowance online. dont wait until you go ,also i always take a medium sized holdall which can go as hand luggage even if you dont need it going but buy something when you are away and your case is to heavy you can transfer stuff to the holdall.
Mightylegend, the cost of excess baggage is 7 per kilo over, not per bag.
We just flew Ryanair and booked a 15kg case to go on the plane and then took 2 hand luggage items on the plane too.

They are VERY strict about the weight of the case and I would def say get it sorted before you get to the airport as the queues for excess/extra baggage were huge.

Thanks for all your advicex
My understanding of the baggage rules are that you can pay for extra bags, but this DOES NOT buy you more weight. I think the allowance on Ryanair is 15kg per person however many bags you pay for. Check this out before buying extra, all it means is that you can split your weight allowance over more bags.

Sneaky!
Definitely read the small print!!
Ryanair has reduced it excess baggage fees, however these charges still stand at £10 per kg. If you need to add baggage this can be done via manage my booking. Alternatively our famliy uses www.checkinpal.com whenever we require online check in or amendments to our booking. They offer a free call back too unlike Ryanair. Hope this helps
