Does anyone know how I can change 92 Maltese Lire into sterling?

I know the deadline passed about six months ago, but I'd really appreciate some help, as they're worth about 170.

The travel agent and Barclays have both said they can't help.

Thanks for your advice.

It appears you may need to make a trip to the Central Bank of Malta. Other European Central Banks offer a postal service to exchange demonetised banknotes (not coins) but I cannot find such a service mentioned on the Malta website...

Thanks for that, Kempie.
Thomas Exchange in London www.thomasexchange.co.uk can still change all old pre-Euro currencies to pounds. Their main office is at Maddox St (near Oxford Circus Tube Station).

If you are outside London, you can post the currencies to them and they will pay by cheque or directly into your bank account (but ring them in advance).
