Has anyone put in for a refund with ATOL

has anyone had to claim from ATOL regarding the collaspe of xl airways, etc. have you heard from them yet. sent our information in 19/09/08 still not heard anything have phoned them and they just said another couple of weeks. so was wondering is anyone else in same situation as me or have they had confirmation as to what is going on

I also sent a claim in on the 13th and still have heard nothing. I have no contact details to see where they are with the process. I have however had a response to an email which explained to me due to the high volume of claims they would contact us in due course.
I was hoping to have this back in time of my scheduled holiday end of October as its the first holiday we wouldve had in 10yrs and this was only because it was our honeymoon.
If you hear anything let me know

i phoned them yesterday but didn't much help only that they told me it would be another couple of weeks before i heard anything like you we have rebooked our holiday and paid the deposit but we are unable to pay for the total holiday until we get this refund. we are not due to go till january 09 so we still have a bit of time. our holiday agent understands are willing to negotiate with us so as so as this money comes through we need to pay for this holiday. if i hear anything i will let you know i also have emailed them but still waiting for an answer

qprdebbie just to let you know i phoned atol and i received a letter yesterday 15th october acknowledging our claim form. i did email them and they told me 2-3 months once we received a letter from them. this schedule is going to be tight for us but fingers crossed, as we hve rebooked and paid out deposit for 29th january 09. so we are hoping 2 months rather than 3
