USA visa waiver - departure record

My 15 yr old son returned from a trip to the US four weeks ago and I have just noticed that the green waiver departure record is still in his passport. this should obviously have been taken when he left the US. I think you are meant to post it somewhere but we are going to the States again tomorrow. Is this likely to be a problem

This happened to me a couple of years ago and yes I had to post off the green piece of paper along with the boarding card (which luckily I still had), a copy of my passport, a letter from my employer and anything else I could think off to prove that I'd actually left the States. Everything obviously went through ok because the next time I went to the States I got in no problem! In your case because you're going tomorrow I'd give the immigration office at the US Embassy a ring and ask their advice

Don't worry about it, happens to me a lot - they don't seem to care anymore since you have to scan your passport in a machine to be able to leave the USA now anyway. They know you have left the USA, even more so when you next arrive at their border wanting to come back in.
