I am a UK citizen and want to travel to the Czeck Republic. My passport will have less than six months left to run on the day of travel. Will it be valid? I understand that it is OK if the Czeck Republic is in the EEU but I can't find any info that differentiates the EEU from the EU. Are they the same entity?

yes, it will be fine
As OJR states, you'll have no problems. The Czech Republic is within the EU, which means that they're obliged by EU law to admit anyone who can provide valid proof of their EU citizenship (such as a current passport, irrespective of its expiry date).

I haven't got a clue what the 'EEU' is. (Google doesn't recognise the abbreviation either). I suspect that you might be referring to the EEA (European Economic Area), which consists of all 27 EU countries plus 3 other countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) which can trade within the European single market without EU membership.
