Any seasoned Far East travellers there?
I will be in Beijing next June and would ilke to take a beach holiday somewhere I can reach from there (not in China). I am a single female traveller, not a bit daunted by being on my own, and would like somewhere I can unwind, get a bit of a tan and maybe some relaxing spa treatments. I don't want to go OTT budgetwise, but as this will be my last visit to China I would like to make the most of it.
Can anyone recommend anywhere - I have heard Cebu in the Phillipines is good, but have no idea how to get there. Would I be better to try from Hong Kong?
Any other ideas?
Many thanks - airline/tour websites would be wonderful.

I spent 10 days in Hong Kong this summer and found it a fascinating place, very clean and very safe. I stayed in an apartment in Hong Kong, but there were plenty of apartments available by beaches.

It was good of you to answer so quickly, but I have spent quite a lot of time in Guangzhou and HK too - I was looking for somewhere further afield that would crown the ten years I have spent going backwards and forwards to China for my work. As I will be based in Beijing, I would like to be able to go from there.
TIA

Hi Pathihan
Thanks for your offer. I have never been to Thailand , mainly because most people I know have been and I would like to go somewhere where I won't be surrounded by loud tourists - I would love to spend 5-7 days just lying around, reading, being pampered, eating lots of fresh fruit , veg and fish, maybe lose some weight, massage, facials - you get the drift!
It would be perfect if I could find a reputable travel agent in Beijing, but not too bothered if I have to go to/via HK.
Many thanks
