How much spends do you think i'll need

Hiya, me, hubby, 13 year old girl and 15 year old boy (with a massive appitite) are off to sunny Orlando in May 2009 for 2 weeks. We have been trying to work out roughly how much money we'll need to take. we have all the parks paid for already and have booked self catering (although be great not to have to cook to much) Any hints and tips on the kind of spending money we will need would be much appreciated, cheers

When I went 18 months ago (myself, hubby and two teenage boys) I took �2,500 worth of US dollars. We lived like lords for two weeks, eating out most (though not all of the time), doing some shopping (mainly Target and Walmart - no designer stuff) and paying entrance fees to places other than Universal (we went to NASA and Daytona).

Do yourself a favour and eat at Golden Corral or one of the similar eateries, youpay a flat amount and can eat as much as you can face, you think you have a big appetite wait until you see some of the locals piled up plates, seriously you can eat out cheaper than doing it yourself.

when we went there last year, there were so many take outs that we didn't cook much at all. steak houses are fantastic too.

about $200 per day will suffice it hink. remember to tip at least 15% at restaurants!
