What was the 4/6 seater bikes called.. leather seats ..

Like a pedlo! but not! doing my head in!!

I can see them now in my mind!! leather seats on some steered at front. Not a quad either!!

If you mean the ones with the canopy, I always knew them as tandems, although that name is wholly inaccurate as they can seat 4 or 5

If they're the same as the ones you used to be able to hire in Skegness in the 50s, they were - at least in Skegness - known as "social cycles". I believe some of them did have a canopy. Running on 4 wheels, they had 2 seats at the front, both equipped with pedals and the right-hand one with handlebars linked to both front forks for steering, and 2 at the back - can't remember at this distance whether the back seats had pedals as well, or whether the front-seat occupants had to do all the work. I remember them clearly from family holidays in the 50s.
i can't remember but do you remember trying to get over the speed bumps in the sinclair c5's?

i'm also trying to find out whatever happened to the resident band called "Starr".
