I am planning on travelling to the US at the end of october 09. Ive got a criminal record of assault and ABH from June 05.

What are procedures that I need to take about getting a visa and what information do I need to (or have to) give to the US ebassey?

you need to complete the new on-line visa waiver application form which will then tell you that you need to apply for a visa due to your conviction.

it should advise you on what to do next.
I went through the visa process 18months ago. If you need advice nearer the time let me know.
