Has anybody left their car at a railway station a couple of nights north of Paris and taken the train into the city? If so, where?

a friend tells me there's a small car park at Courneuve metro station, at the end of Line 7. However, every travel advice site I've visited suggests that the northern suburbs of Paris, being somewhat deprived, are probably not the place to leave a car overnight.
