Memorial Day USA

Hi, Noting that Memorial Day May25,is a national holiday in the USA,does that mean that everyone goes mad like our bank holidays,and all hotels will be booked .or can we just play it by ear when we get there as we have done in the past with no bother? Thanks again.

I went to indian shores in florida on memorial day, it was like a bank holiday here at home as far as the traffic was concerned, i got there eventually and we had no problem finding a restaurant to eat , i think it may depend on where you go, resorts would obviously be geared up for tourists/trippers but if it is a backwater you may have difficulty finding somewhere to stay. sorry i just read this back and its about as useful as a chocolate ashtray, best of luck anyway, j.
