Any ideas on cheap overland trips around India or one that goes around vietnam, cambodia and Malaysia?

My brother travelled from Hanoi to Singapore, via Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia, and he loved it.  I know they do plenty of trips in India, China, Nepal and Tibet, as well as the Trans-Siberian & Trans-Mongolian railways, anywhere from St. Petersburg to Hong Kong.

Also, short trips can be combined to make a longer trip of your choice.

If you are looking to travel really cheap just organise it when you get there with the aid of a rough guide. It is really easy in South east Asia and people are helpful.

I have also used Tennyson Travel, who have an office in London, they can do bespoke travel iteneries for this region, although a little more package based they offer every standard and form off travel
