How much to take to Egypt All inclusive

I am going to egypt in October for a week with my boyfriend but we are going all inclusive and not sure how much to take as we usually go self catering. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also we usually go to cyprus and Greece and take �1000 between us but not sure how expensive Egypt is??

haven't been there myself but people I know who have said that everyone expects to be tipped so allow for this in your budget

I went to Egypt about 4/5 years ago. (Sharm El Sheikh).

I found it very cheap to eat out, but excursions were quite expensive.

I went for 1 week, did not do any excursions, was B & B so ate out all the time and spent about �300 if memory serves. I did buy lots of things (including good mask and snorkel, under water camera, prezzies and loads of treats for myself).

Not sure if exchange rate has been effected much with the credit crunch, but hopefully the above will help.
