Hi. Can I still carry my gas powered tongs in my hand luggage.?
Last time I flew I remember being told the cartridge must be in the applience,no unused spares but dont know if the rules have changed.
Going to Malta if that makes any difference.
Thanks.

I would say no on this, if exploded there could be a chain reaction in the hold, why waste your time trying only to be told to remove the item and put them in your case.
why do you need your gas tongs on the plane ? surely you are not going to attempt to use them ? Malta is not long haul, surely they can go in your main suitcase ? and just in case I am on that plane pls put cartridge seperately and wrapped in plastic bag in case it leaks with the pressure.
happy holiday

I think it was misunderstood and you think I am some vain person.
I wanted to know where I put my gas tongs. hold luggage or hand luggage.
I didnt actually want to use them to pretty myself up on a 3 hour flight.
Best thing I can do now is check with the airline.
