No , He saw his guitar being thrown around by baggage handlers and United denied all responsibility so after a long time of wrangling he wrote this song....after 60,000 hits United decided to pay for damage. 4 million hits later and the song is still going strong. I think I like it because it is the consumer not giving up without a fight.
