Gran Canaria submarine

I'm going to Gran Canaria in just over a week and have been looking at things to do, one thing I've found is a yellow submarine ride. Has anyone been on this and was it worth it?

We went on the submarine about 8 years ago. It was OK and a slight disappointment at the same time!

It doesn't go down very deep and there wasn't much swimming by, but it did pass a bit of time.

A trip to Mogan is nice and you can do a trip on a nice boat out to see, plus the restaurants there are really good.

thanks! it looked quite good at first glance but then looking at the price and how long you're actually under for, didn't seem so good!

Ah - thanks dimligump. I couldn't remember the name of the place you're taken to.

I found the trip to be good fun, although it WAS a bit boring in parts. I wanted to see sharks, etc., but we didn't.

There was a big queue for that though sophie. When you get to Gran Canaria, it's best to book all your excursions and so on pretty much as soon as you arrive.

yeah we usually book the excursions on the 2nd day, we're only going for a week though so thought id start looking into them now, had a look at the camel safari as well but it doesn't look like you actually get to sit on the camels back :o(, maybe im just too picky!

LOL - I know what you mean. have you ever been on one??? horrors - they just drop to their knees when they know it's time to stop, so hold on tight!!!
You've GOT to go to the Maspalomas sand dunes though!!!!

We went about six years ago and really loved it. We took a ride on the camels at Maspalomas and nearly got pushed off by the following camel, they like to do that. Watch out for the nude `sinbathers` in the dunes (mainly Germans). Take the bus to Morgan, and you`ll never forget it. Hold very tightly, ding ding.
Also, if you get the free bus back to your club or hotel don`t let the Germans push in front of you from the beach, they don`t queue, they push. The only yellow sub I have been on was in Benidorm and not worth it.

We had a really good time when we went on the submarine but have to say think we were lucky as when we were talking to other people they didn't see much.

Mogan is beautiful but more expensive than some other places.

Camel ride is great but don't wear shorts or you'll find your legs extremley sore the next day

And if you go camel riding, try and get on the one in front. They have a horrible habit of having wind as they're traipsing along......
