Canaries should be good.. I sunbathed there in December :o)
And we froze at Easter !! Guess we were unlucky.Canaries can be windy , we went to Fuertaventura ( should have guessed from the name)and it was too blowy for us ( and we live on a windy island and are used to it )
Florida, Dubai, Cape Verdi, Thailand... and the Canaries generally.. we went in Feb once and it was a lovely 75 degrees everyday...

If you have a big budget then fo for Florida or Dubai

While some places in southern Europe might be pleasantly warm at that time of year, the only way that you're going to find a 'hot' destination is to travel further south. Unless you've got the money for long haul holidays (e.g. to Oz), you're really restricted to Africa.

The only 'budget' African destination is the Canaries. (Yes, I know that they're politically and culturally European but the Canary Islands lie off the African coast). Even then, temperatures tend to fall into the 'quite warm' category, rather than 'hot'. Additionally, as Naomi points out, it can get very windy:

The Gambia is popular around that time of year and generally gets great reviews:

There are usually some good offers for the Gambia available on sites like Expedia.

Egypt's a possibility, in particular Sharm el Sheikh:

Is sharm-el-sheik cockney slang for bake a cake?
Sharm el Sheikah not a great place for a family holiday unless you all want to dive everyday- very geared up for that - or if you want to lay in the sun all day.

Kenya and The Gambia and Thailand are my favourites for that time of the year but depends what you all like to do on holiday.

I've been to the Algarve several times at that time of year and it's always been Scorchio. But oerhaps I've just been lucky.
How about the caribbean???
