One of the most interesting things about the area is that the trains go right along the sea front.
Brunel decided it would be easier to put the trains along the sea front rather than going inland over the hills.
The trains run down from Exeter, all the way down the west coast of the river Exe, then go through Dawlsih Warren (where there is a station), then on to Dawlish (another station), then on to Teignmouth (another station).
This does make it very easy to hop on a train from a trip to one of the other towns along the coast, and it makes an interesting run along the coast.

In the far distance you can see a large red rock, that is near Dawlish Warren.
The coast in the far far distance is the other side of the river Exe.
