Any suggestions on reasonable rate hotel for overnight stay adjacent to Gatwick airport. Will also need transport for 13 to the airport early am.

I stayed earlier this year at the Premier Inn near the North Terminal as I had a 5 am start.
It was basic but reasonable.There is a shuttle bus every 20 mts or so, but there is a charge.

We stayed at the Crown Plaza Hotel at Crawley, a bit posh but very reasonable. We had a nice night out on the High Street which was about 5/10 minutes walk away. They do a shuttle to the airport from 3.00am till midnight, costs about £2 or £3 per person to the airport which is a couple of miles away.http://www.cpgatwick.co.uk/ .

i would thoroughly recomend the Cambridge Hotel. We stayed there earlier this year and it is excellent service, cant be faulted. Its like having a private taxi. they are 10 mins up the road and you phone as soon as you have your cases and by the time you get outside they are there waiting. the hotel is very clean and tidy, breakfast good too. i shll def be using again.
