New York New York!!

Am flying to New York on Oct 14 from Manchester via Amsterdam. Am due to leave Amsterdam @ 08.35am and arrive in newark, NY @ 13.05. Is this local time or what? Sorry, I just havent got a clue!!!! The same for returning home. Due to leave NY @ 16.20pm on 17th Oct & due to arrive @ Amsterdam on 18th October @ 06.00am. Thanks in advance, mummybunny :)

It's local time - they are 5 hours behind us and I think is it 6 behind Amsterdam

i think the times youve stated are local times in that particular country, bearing in mind time differences in america. i know when i went to new york the time diff really affected me on the way home cos in effect we had been travelling a whole day!

Plus you are flying to Amsterdam and then going back over Britain and Ireland so it's going to take 8 - 9 hours

Airlines always put the times of arrivals and departures in the local time for where the plane is arriving/departing. So you will be leaving Amsterdam at 8.35am (Dutch time) and arriving at 13.05 New York time.

Just think about it.

If it was not local time then your flight out would only be 3 hours 20 minutes (13:00 to 16:20)

And your flight home would be about 14 hours (16:20 to 06:00)

Do you think that sounds possible ?
