Marrakesh,Morrocco
We are thinking of going to Marrakesh for a week in March, never been to that country before (although we have been to Tunisia) and not sure what to expect. Does anyone have any thoughts or comments, and any recommendations for a reasonably priced hotel - lots of negative comments about many I have been reading about on the holiday booking sites. Any tips if we do decide to go.
Many thanks.

It's a fascinating town, and the bazaar is great, but there's a lot of hassle for tourists, people constantly trying to sell you carpets, wanting tips etc. I don't mind this but I know some people hate it.
There used to be a tea house on the main square where you could sit on a balcony above the crowds in the evening, and the tea/coffee wasn't too expensive... but I have no idea if it's still there.
Look up riads, small, old-style privately owned hotels very popular with Brits and generally not as expensive as the big five-stars.
