Hello,
looking at booking a stag weekend in Feb. Thinking Tenerife or Playa Del Ingles in Gran Canaria. Been to Tenerife before but not Gran Canaria, fancied something different but they are concerns it might be a bit quiet there for a stag do?
Any advice/recommendations gratefully recieved.
Thanks.

We went to Plays Del Ingles a year ago, it is a huge Gay resort and so very busy, not really quiet at all, we didn't know when we booked it, another aber did tell me just before we went though. The clubs and bars are very lively and of course bursting with gay couples, I went with my daughter and her friend and we had a right laugh, but they were both disapointed that the bars were all pretty much geared to the gay community. Still, it was a good rest and no complaints about the accomodation and service.

Thanks - we do know about the gay scene, not against it but would be a concern if it was just totally orientated toward that with 10 red blooded males!
Hi jonathan, it pretty much is, there is a huge shopping mall right in the centre that really gets lively at night and we walked round and round it but they were all gay bars and clubs, excellent entertainment and brilliant music and I loved the whole atmosphere but it drove my daughter and her mates nuts cos they really fancied loads of the blokes but they were all already spoken for lol I spoke alot with an elderly gay couple from Sweden who were lovely and so much fun , they have been goping there for a number of years and told us the best places to go to eat and all about the taxis etc, which are a whole story in themselves!!! My daughter and her mate got on well with the lucky lucky man on the beach too lol
Oh yes and the morning we were leaving a wholle Rugby Team arrived at our hotel, my daughter & mate went mad!!! The team were obviosuly not gay my daughter said cos they looked like they all had mismatched clothes on and untidy haircuts, it was quite funny as they all were shouting about finding the pool, and we knew a group of about 8 immaculately coiffured young men in speedos were occupying a large area pool side listening to Kylie on their ipod speakers!!!! Infact that particular group was so cliched it was funny, pink speedos and bleached blonde gelled hair was like a uniform.

Hmm thanks - like i say, not homophobic but sure the lads wouldn't be impressed if there wasn't any ladies to at least look at and it was constantly 'in your face' scene.
Thanks Dot. ;-)
