I live in Suffolk and (unless you're looking for theme parks, amusement arcades and lager louts) your question is an absolute 'no brainer'. There's one place which is head and shoulders above anywhere else in Suffolk (and almost anywhere else in the UK):

PS: Beware of falling in love with the place and wanting to move there. Terraced houses on the seafront sell for around one million pounds. A tiny beach hut (which you can't even sleep in at night and which is removed during the winter months) costs around £80,000!

I fell in love with East Anglia many years ago Buenchico and i know i shall fall head over heels for Suffolk........Is there any hilly areas in Suffolk or is it as flat as Norfolk?
There are quite a few hills in Norfolk, Garmard!
They're just nowhere near to the coast ;-)

The Suffolk countryside is generally 'rolling', rather than either 'flat' or 'hilly'. This a short drive away from me:

I agree with Buenchico, Southwold is a great place. Having lived there most my life, the surrounding areas great too. Warbleswick, Dunwich, even as far as Aldeburgh and Orford.

If you're middle to elderly aged enjoy a pint of Southwold's finest, then this is the place.
If you are looking for campsites here are some details:
Beach View Holiday Park is a nice site located right next the beach

Self-catering holiday rentals including caravans, luxury lodges and apartments are also available at Beach View:

The Cakes and Ale is another nice caravan park and camping site although it's not right on the coast:

There are some nice hotels in Aldeburgh (The White Lion, The Brudenell and Wentworth) and Southwold and plenty of cottages and holiday lets in most of the coastal towns and villages. More commercial areas include Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth (these are your typical amusement/arcade British seaside type coastal towns).
