Me and my friends never seem to get out our house. We live in Hillingdon which is North - West of Greater London. So me (bright as a light) thought why dont we wander around London for a Day, the only money we would spend would be in shops (no tickets to anythink!). I thought China Town would be cool, but we cant stay there all day. So where should we go? London is our oyster!!

u can go to leicester square, there's lots to do there, but a word of advice, u cant come to london and not spend any money, it's impossible, if u wanna have a good time, it'll cost u.

u can visit some of the markets, camden or portobello, camdens open everyday and potobello market is open on saturdays but the shops are open mon-sat.

have fun.....

The museums are free of charge if that's of interest to you: National Gallery, Tate, Science, National History...
Sorry I meant to say natural history...

Why not spend a little bit of money on a big bus tour? You can get on and off the buses all day and they give you a commentary while you're on the bus, so if you hear about something you'd like to see you can get off at the next stop.

Years ago I took the Cub Scouts on one of these tours and they loved it.

It doesn't cost anything to wander around.  The attractions around the centre of London are deceptively close to each other - Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, The National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, Neal's Yard, Covent Garden, St Pauls, the Millennium Walkway, the Tate Modern & the South Bank can all be seen wandering round in a day, depending on how often you stop to look at things.

If you don't mind basic (but really scrummy) baguettes, sandwiches, salads etc try & find a Benji's - they're dirt-cheap & found all over the city.  The one on Villier's Street (close to Trafalgar Square, just off The Strand between Charing Cross & Embankment tube station) is my favourite - just a short stroll down the lane to nearby Victoria Embankment Gardens / the Thames.

Go and see your mummy in the British Museum......Imperial War Museum is a great walk from Lambeth Bridge.....but a real lovely day is, get the jubilee line to Island Gardens, walk thru the scary foot tunnel to Greenwich, do it on a Saturday then there's a brill market on, and the National maritime Museum and the park and observatory......
