Hi,
I shall be travelling to Dubai shortly & would like to know the best currency to take.
Also, does anyone know how to say 'please' & 'thank you' in the language., always good to be polite.

others things to remember ------ never cross in front of anyone who is praying[ some do pray in the street] always walk behind the person, if you cross in front they have to start the prayers all over again from the beginning, it is considered very bad manners to do so.

Shukran has already been mentioned, but mostly English is spoken in hotels, shops, restaurants etc
I lived there for 14 years and can swear in Arabic too but best not mention any here !
