If you are travelling from a country within the
EU (see the list on page 4), you may bring in
any meat, dairy or other animal products.
you are allowed
a combined weight of up to 10kg per person
You may bring in a limited quantity of other
animal products, such as fish, bivalves, honey and
eggs.

.Dont suppose you can tell what the weather will be like with a 6am start its hard to judge.
Except when emergency restrictions are in place (as during the BSE crisis) you're allowed to move an unlimited quantity of foodstuffs between any two EU member states. (The 10kg limit on dairy products only relates to foods imported without the proper import documentation).
