You can zoom in quite close here to pick up roads and villages

you might find something suitable via this site - maybe topographical maps? (link halfway down page)

The Swedish equivalent of our Ordnance Survey is Lantmäteriet. Their website is here:

The UK's (and, indeed, the world's) largest supplier of maps, Stanfords, can supply some Lantmäteriet maps. Start here:

What excellent replies, I feel quite superfluous even as a Swede but fellow ABer jno pointed me here so I'd better make myself useful;-)

If VHG's map didn't do it for you and you don't find a Lantmäteriet map either, I'd say place a phone call to Lantmäteriet. Most Swedes speak English well enough to understand what you're asking. It might help to try to pronounce Öland reasonably correctly: The Ö is pronounced rather like the eu in French word 'bleu'.

Or try here http://butiken.metria...index.php?language=en

Oh look, there's a motoring and tourist map of Öland if you scroll to the bottom of this page, will that do? http://butiken.metria...index.php?cPath=3_162
Damn, the links I posted were to the English versions of those pages but they flip back to Swedish. Just click the flag in the top right corner and you'll be redirected to a less peculiar language;-)
