I know the drinking age in Sweden is 21, but I heard it's really easy to get into clubs there quite young? Is this true? Whats the nightlife like in Sweden for 15+ year olds?

I can't help you directly. There is a lady who posts on here called 'Swedeheart'. She lives in Stockholm so if you can attract her attention she may be able to give you more facts.
I do believe she is a little more than 21 though:-)
Slightly, Scotman! :) But I'm googling even as we speak...!
That was fast Swedeheart, your radar must be very sensitive.
And there's me thinking that Swedeheart was a bloke! However, just twigged the Greta Garbo hat from her avatar.
Very sensitive, Scotman http://i52.tinypic.com/2347ef.jpg

Ha ha Mike Greta Garbo did wear a beret in one movie didn't she?
But what film, jno? (Sorry sophie I do have every intention of helping you but my age is against me so it may be a while...:)
Darned Scot;-)

Sophie, just in general and from what I hear, there seems to be quite a cruel Survival of the Fittest attitude amongst the nightclub bouncers, at least around Stureplan in Stockholm (see below.) I suspect it's easier to get in if you're too young than if you're too ugly or too black or too handicapped...

This is an old article (it's from 2006) and these things seem to change very quickly don't they, but what I can tell you is that if you come to Stockholm it's still true that the area around Stureplan is the place to go if you're looking for the Daddy's credit card crowd... http://www.10best.com...tlife/best-nightlife/ Some info about other cities as well, in ^^that article.

...and if you're not, go to the part of town called SoFo, on Södermalm.

Debaser is the place to be if music is your thing http://www.debaser.se/ So sorry their site isn't in English but if you scroll to the bottom of the page, the first three addresses (Slussen, Medis and Humlegården) are in Stockholm, and Malmö is in... erm, Malmö. (In the southernmost part of Sweden.) Debaser Slussen and Debaser Medis are both in the aforementioned part of town Södermalm, where things are a bit more layback and bohemian than they are around Stureplan.

This info seems quite up-to-date http://beta.stockholm.../Dine/Tips/Whats-hot/

If you have anything more specific in mind that you'd like me to find out I'll try to help but it'll have to be during this weekend
Sorry, the first link isn't the one I intended to post. Sigh. I'll see if I can find it again.
Swedeheart

I thought I had better do some work since I landed you in it - again!

Here you go, this is the oldish article from 2006 - but some of the general facts are informative enough http://www.alloexpat....en-stockholm-t41.html

Thanks for your help!! I'm going to Stcokholm in November, and am staying with a host family. I'm 15 so was just wondering what I will be doing for activities! Looks better than i thought to be honest so i'm looking forward to it but hope we can get into some of these places... not sure if we will?!
Maybe not, Sophie, I'm not sure - could be worth a go?

I'll ask the daughter of a friend of mine who is seventeen I think and who has recently moved to Stockholm to study, she might know what to do around here when you're young:) I won't be able to use my computer a whole lot during this autumn but if I do find anything out I'll post it here before November:)
If nothing else we have the best British Pub...http://www.thelocal.se/26306/20100427/
Bars and nightclubs

The age limit is 18 to bars and beers in shops (to prevent teenage drunkenness, some shops have decided to have a 20 age limit for 3.5% beer as well), but 20 in Systembolaget. Many bars have an age limit of 20, but some (especially downtown in weekends) have age limits as high as 23 or 25. Bring passport or ID.
