Can you get a ferry from Norfolk to germany?

Mike, bit confused about what they do with their van while their on the train? If they arrive at the job in Germany withouth the van and stuff in it, the journey itself might aswell have not happened.

Norwich to Harwich would be far easier!! Easy drive. Look at the map at the bottom of this link:

There used to be a freight route out of Great Yarmouth but I suspect it's long since gone.

Harwich to Hook is probably best for Dusseldorf

In fact a very easy drive. Straight down to Ipswich and your almost there!!

Thanks for you advice everyone. I just had a look at the crossing time from Harwich to Holland and it says 6 hours! Can that be right?

No it's not right. It's actually six and a half hours! The evening ferry leaves Harwich at 2345 and arrives at 0730 local time. Although the ferry from Dover to Calais is only 90 minutes, you need to balance this with the driving time between Norwich and Harwich, and Norwich and Dover. Also the ferry crossing times from Dover to Calais and the driving time between the respective ports and the final destination. If I didn't live so far away I'd be asking you for a job! LOL.

Yep, and Ferries go slower at night. They can have a cabin and sleep the night and arrive fresh the next morning. Much better really than driving down to Dover which is a horrible long drive
