Nottingham also has a good shopping centre, with a lively and vibrant feel to the city. Derby is just dull, dull, dull.

The smallest city in England is the City of London. It's only just over a square mile in size and, because it's mainly a business area, very few people live there:

City of London population is apparently somewhere around 8000 (mostly in the Barbican, I should think); St Davids' is 1600.

Buenchico - Derby isn't dull dull dull! - since the opening of Westfield Centre, shopping is better than Nottingham and everything is close together.

Derby is very nice - we visit my daughter there regularly, shes at the uni :)
