increased departure tax

Anyone had more luck than me in finding out whether my booking (paid for months back) will be subjected to the increase - logic tells me it will as I'm leaving after the price rise has been implemented but I live in hope! Can't really see BA not charging me as they seem to have got very money grabbing lately - i.e. although I'm well under weight luggage wise they are charging £32 extra to take an old (family heirloom) fishing rod over to my son, quoting ' only one item of hold luggage allowed in cattle class'

Well - in theory - logic says you have already paid the increased charges since their amount and date of introduction was known at the time you booked and should have been included in the fare.

In reality - who knows.
