i recently came to live in new zealand with my best friend. he is a uk resident. his father and all that side of the family live here... however he is now an overstayer by 2 years. I am an australian citizen by birth, and i am going to marry him to give him the necessary docs to eventually gain permanent residence...... however we have to get him out of the country then back in so he has the necessary stamps in his passport. has anyone got any tips or advice on this kind of situation?

Are the rest of the family overstayers as well? If not why can't the father act on the situation on family grounds? Otherwise I can't see how you're going to pull this off sarwal.

Sounds difficult and you could get in a lot of trouble. On top of that marrying him just to get documents!!!! Own up to the authorities, explain family and problems etc. Volunteering this information is better than getting found out later...
Seeing as you don't seem to bothered about legitimacy, couldn't your best friend "lose" his passport and get a new one (without any stamps) from the British Embassy. Leave and come back claiming you've only been there a few weeks as a tourist?

Dont believe what i am reading really. marry him so he gets his papers....love and relationship does not figure in this arrangement does it.

He is a UK resident....so i take it not a British passport holder...so losing his ppt means he has to apply for ppt from his own country....means losing his British residency stamp. Been out of UK for 2 years meaning he has lost his British residency anyway and Brit immigration officers love to spot that.

Nice little Pataks pickle your friend is landing himself and you in. Want my advice......nah i better not....makes me angry this does....the blatant front of it all.
