Where can you smoke legally in europe now?
I was just chatting with friends the other night, and this came up. Is there anywhere still in europe where the bars still allow smoking?

Here is a list of all countries around the world with regard to smoking laws:

The site I would normally link to seems to be down, so here's the cached version. (It's only from a week ago, so it should be up to date):

Seems that was about when the restriction came in Scotsman
The Restriction on Smoking (Jersey) Law 1973 was amended by the Restriction on Smoking (Amendment No. 2) (Jersey) Law 2006[67] adopted 16 May 2006 which enabled the States to make regulations to prohibit or restrict smoking tobacco or a substance (or a mixture of substances) other than tobacco, or the use of tobacco, in a workplace or other defined places.

You think it's tough in Europe - you should go to Hong Kong, where you can't even smoke in the parks or on the beaches. There are special smoking areas behind the beaches (behind the toilet block or somewhere else as salubrious!). And woe betide you if you drop a cigarette butt on the ground instead of in the ashtrays on top of the bins, it's a hefty find for any littering. Mind you, there are litter bins about every 100 yards!
