Nooooo. We've been looking at a bunch of holiday deals and this came up but I knew there was something too good to be true about it. Wouldn't book anywhere without trying to get a real opinion of what's it's like first. Thank god my common sense kicked in for once!
I was there many years ago and it was a dump even then and I believe it hasn't improved in any way. It's VERY busy, VERY touristy., VERY noisy. VERY chav... I absolutely hated it. Plenty lovely places in Turkey to go though.
Thanks for all your answers! So glad I didn't just look at the price and book it. On our budget we're not looking for ultimate luxury but to come home without having contracted 12 diseases would be nice too.
Expect lots more 'what's this place like' questions from me. :o)
Oh, hadn't thought of Tunisia! We're not bothered where we go, as long as it's in our budget and the sun is shining (and isn't an array of faeces on the pavements).
My younger brother + 4 mates went last July. Seen the pics - looks bloomin mental at night, great if its a lads or girls holiday. He also said it was HOT in the day 38C-40C. Not been myself
some very pushy in your face, always trying to get the last bit out of your pocket, dont go round the market more than once, they can remember you from before,if you go past a restaurant and say maybe tomorrow night we come, they will try to hold you to that, never go into an empty shop, or restaurant.
But always have a smile and time of day for them they remember that to,better for your holiday,

From the sounds of it JD, it would be about right for a bunch of 18 year olds who's main aim is to get smashed but I'm not sure that's going to work for me and the bf. :o)
The Greek Islands are worth a look milly. My 21yr old daughter managed 2 holidays last year Kos and Zante -she loved them both and they were very cheap.Have a look at Ice Lolly.com.
