Italy Can Be A Great Cut Price Destination
Italy is a beautiful and interesting country. It has mountains, lakes, beaches plus a rich and varied culture. It seems to have something for everyone. However, it seems it doesn’t matter how wonderful a holiday destination is, we are still very concerned about cost and as a result are taking cut price trips abroad.
One way to tempt customers back is to give them a discount. Italian hoteliers who slash their prices can encourage more people to choose a holiday in the country, it has been asserted.
A well known hotel price comparison site has said when companies in the country make their prices affordable; more people can be attracted to taking a trip there.
Recent research found hotels in Turin, Naples and Bologna are proving an incentive for repeat custom.
Other European destinations must follow suit if they want to attract more travellers, according to a country manager for the UK at the company.
"They need to [have] more special offers and more incentives to keep people coming to them. For example, two days for one," she said.
Adding extras to a hotel deal could also be a good tactic such as:
• Free hotel transfers – this can be an unwanted additional cost. If the hotel coordinated with airlines they could provide a bus or taxi service for their patrons free of charge.
• Deals for meals – for example booking Bed and Breakfast is very popular but the hotel could throw in a packed lunch or light buffet tea to tempt visitors.
• Tour guides – a good local hotel will have contacts which can give in depth guided tours for reasonable prices.
• Customer service – the best way to get repeat business is to offer the best customer service. There is nothing more off putting than a grumpy receptionist or valet. Simple courtesy is free and can make the best impression.
Customers wanting to travel to Italy should do their research on the internet and even talk to a high street travel agent to get comparison prices and get the best deals for their holiday.
