Jetstream And Our Weather .......

I have found a good website showing the jetsteam and where it will be situated over the next week or so ..... I think it should be over the UK (ideally over Scotland) for us to have nice weather? According to this website it is over us again and has not slipped down over France, which is good news as we go away on holiday next week! :)

No, because I have watered it this evening. Need the rain because the ground is like rock. Precludes finishing off the weeding, not going to waste water on the ground where the weeds are. Lugging watering cans is hard work.

Haven't you had some hefty downpours though, Daisy? Not today but we had several days of torrential showers which saved us watering the garden.

Right, I get the picture Daisy, much easier to remove weeds from soft soil.

We had a very sharp prolonged shower on Monday around 5pm, that's been it, so far this week. Could do with a storm.

Didn't you have the downpour on Tuesday afternoon Boxy? We live on a hill and the water was running down our road like a river!

No Ann. We seem to have our own microclimate between the Downs and the sea. Nothing torrential. One day of showers, one night of intermittent rain.

Our weather is often what they have in France - we look at the weather for the SE, then look at Pas de Calais, more often than not we don't get what the rest of you are getting.

Well those of you who live in the East will get 8 days of continuous rain starting on Monday when we go away - its more predictable and accurate than a weather forecast - we call our touring caravan "The Rainmaker" LOL ;)
