Not sure about East Anglia, but I beg to differ. I don't need any rain around here. I've things to do (once I've got started) and much of it is outside.
I guess I'd say too, I don't NEED rain - I can water the garden from our butts, and as much rain as we had last time causes our soakaway to overflow, which is Not Good.
Wow tilly, both of mine (fore and aft gardens) are full to within about 6 inches of the top, from the rain over the summer. Do you have a leaky tap, perhaps?
I'm with you Tilly. Although i'm loving this extension to the summer - its been the most beautiful week on the east coast - I could do with a good down pour overnight to water the veggie patch.
The clouds have passed over without incident, and the major jobs are done. Well I say that, it's a never ending stream of jobs, but I don't envisage too much more outside work today.
